I was surprised when my grade five teacher, Mr Matthieu, invited me to go to the Caribbean with him. Mr. Matthieu takes a whole year off to go sailing every fourth year. He also invited my sister, Meghan. We were both allowed to bring a friend with us . I invited a kid named Brad and my sister invited a girl named Chantel. We are all looking forward to going on the vacation . We are leaving on January the 31 and coming back on Valentine's Day.

For the last year, I've been growing my curly hair. A lot of people call it an afro. Other kids like my hair and I'm proud of it. My hair is now four inches tall when I brush it.

This year I am playing playing soccer and basketball. I've been to two basketball tournaments. The first time we won two out of three games. This time we won the whole tournament with only six people. I like basketball!

In the spring, I earned my orange belt in karate. Unfortunately, karate was cancelled this fall so I had to do other stuff instead. I'm hoping to get back to karate to earn my next belt in the future
